Mihin Lanka Launches New Low Fare Route From Medan To Colombo And Beyond Brings a whole new range of destinations within reach
South Asia's leading low-fare airline, Mihin Lanka, will launch a nonstop service between Medan, Indonesia and Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 22nd May 2013 – bringing access to a range of exciting destinations to the North Sumatra capital. The service will initially operate twice weekly on board Airbus A321 aircraft.
Operating every Wednesday and Saturday, the flights will leave Colombo at 1.30pm and arrive into Medan at 6.10pm local time. The return flights will leave Medan at 7.10pm, arriving into Colombo at 8.35pm on the same day. Opening the longest ever International nonstop route from Medan, Mihin will enable the local residents to access a wide range of worldwide destinations beyond Colombo with quick and convenient connections – in partnership with its sister carrier SriLankan Airlines.
In addition to frequent flights to popular destinations such as Jeddah – Mihin will offer easy access to over 50 destinations in the Middle East, Europe and India. With the introduction of Mihin's new route, passengers from Medan no longer need to backtrack to a busy Asian airport, to access their favorite overseas destinations. Mihin already flies daily between Colombo and Jakarta, a route which it has been serving since 2010.
